MySQL Database Front-End
A database front-end allows you, everyone in your company, your partners, associates, or affiliates and even your customers and website visitors to share, view and/or modify a database. Everyone sees the same database, so that changes made by someone are seen by everyone in real-time.
Simply speaking, a database houses information of any kind (for example, a list, spreadsheet, or photo gallery) in a complex structure. A database front-end makes it available to everyone in a central location. Your database can contain anything you can think of like your members, e-mail list subscribers, customers, offices, affiliate program members, partners/associates, price sheets, etc.
You are able to set permissions on each user. For example, you may want to be able to do anything yourself, but only want your technical team to be able to modify parts of the database, your accounting team parts, and your customers and website visitors to be able to view certain information through your public website only but not change anything.
