Is there a minimum dollar amount?
There is no minimum number or value of sale(s) that must be reached, as long as:
- The total value of a single item (product or service) is greater than your per transaction fee.
- The monthly fees paid achieves the monthly minimum
"Monthly Minimum" refers to the minimum amount of fees paid each month, and only applies to United States businesses with a higher risk assessment who are selling products or services over the Internet, e-mail, phone, or in person when the credit card itself is not present or a signed receipt does not exist. Canadian or international businesses, U.S. retail (card present) merchants, and low risk U.S. businesses do not have a monthly minimum.
If you do have a monthly minimum and do not meet it, you will simply be charged the difference.
For example, if you make a total of $1000 worth of sales in a given month, your discount rate is 1.69% corresponding to a total fee of $16.60, and your monthly minimum is $20, you would pay the difference - $3.40.
